This year Energy Breakthrough are collaborating with ResourceSmart Schools to ensure the event continues to be as sustainable as possible. To help schools prepare, ResourceSmart Schools are hosting three workshops for schools throughout September and October.

In an Australian-first, the Energy Breakthrough will host a State Final of the Sphero Global Challenge in robotics in 2024, before the winners can progress to the World Championships. Wow!
EB now has a new Sustainability Award. The winning team will receive a sustainability prize pack for their school, including $500 towards an entry fee for Energy Breakthrough 2025 and a feature story on the EB website.
At Energy Breakthrough we have a focus on reducing event waste and have made great progress over the last two years. In 2024, we are excited to have ResourceSmart Schools (RSS) program here to help us and our schools continue to improve. Each school that registers (for FREE) to this award winning program before 28 June 2024 will receive one-on-one support from a waste education specialist to ensure their team is prepared and raring to go for the event.
After considering feedback on the 2023 TRYathlon format and reviewing our overall event schedule, the Energy Breakthrough Education Team have liaised with schools to develop a NEW TRYathlon schedule for the Energy Breakthrough for 2024.
