Scrutineers have been given a new weapon to enforce the Hybrid categories 80 kilogram maximum weight limit – scales!
Stawell Secondary College has created some temporary vehicle scales for 2005, which will be in use on Friday for all hybrids and some randomly selected Secondary HPVs. A more permenant version will be devised for 2006.
Stawell SC Energy Breakthrough co-ordinator Anthony Taylor, was keen for the scales after strenously reducing their hybrid’s weight from 90 kilograms to 80 kg in 2004 – only to go through scrutineering and Design & Construction with no weigh-in.
If you’d like your HPV weighed, just ask the Scrutineers on Friday.
Please note: The 80kg limit is without rider or fuel.
