2016 is the 31st running of the Australian International Pedal Prix and the 20th 24 hour event in Murray Bridge. This race is the final Round of the UniSA Australian HPV Super Series and is regarded as the premier HPV endurance race in Australia. The race is conducted on a 2.06km circuit around Sturt Reserve situated on the banks of the Murray River. 200 teams, 3,200 competitors and thousands of spectators make Sturt Reserve their home for 3 days in September. 36 Houseboat moorings immediately adjacent to the track provide an alternative for those not inclined to camping with ample space inside the fully fenced reserve for teams to establish camp.
All teams get the chance to practice on Friday night and the racing starts at noon Saturday continuing non-stop until noon Sunday. Further detailed event information will be released in coming months.
