We’ve compiled a national 2024 HPV and EEV events calendar to help demonstrate the breadth and depth of interest in human powered and energy efficient vehicles across Australia.

We at the Energy Breakthrough see these ‘other events’ as great learning and capacity building opportunities – especially for young people – but for designers, builders, riders, race officials, volunteers and more. In the past, teams from the Energy Breakthrough have travelled interstate in South Australia and Queensland to compete.

Most events – aside from our Energy Breakthrough – follow a set of National HPV Vehicle Specifications. Although the Trial or Race regulations do differ from Series-to-Series, depending on the specific emphasis of the Organisers.

Some events are open only to school-based teams, whilst others incorporate Community-based teams. We’ve tried to clarify what each event offers in the table below.
