Following advice from the Incident Control Centre in Bendigo, Victoria Police have provided a directive to relocate all Energy Breakthrough camping infrastructure located under trees.
This is in response to severe weather warnings for Saturday 19th November, which predicts thunderstorms and winds up to 100km an hour.
A staged approach to camping relocation will occur from 4:30pm-7:30pm on Friday 18th November, with affected campers moving to Jubilee oval, following the conclusion of Try-athlon. Vehicles are not permitted on the oval.
All movement across Track 1 is to conclude by 7:15pm to allow Secondary HPV Practice to commence at 8:00pm.
Schools are requested not to bring vehicles into EB Central until further notice. Trucks will be provided in the interim to assist with movement of camping gear.
There is also a moderate risk of thunderstorm asthma, so schools are asked to review their plans, medication and check students. If there are any concerns or further information required, please contact the Ambulance Victoria team onsite.
Any questions please contact the Event Operations Centre on 1300 561 854.
Any messages will be shared via SMS to team managers and where required, over the PA system
