The Daily Wrap
Our EBTV Reporter Jake Stevens gets amongst it again at the 2013 RACV Energy Breakthrough. In today’s Daily Wrap he checks out the pushcarts, human powered vehicles and energy efficient vehicles and even rubs shoulders with Drew and Tully from Big Brother 2013.

Ah Saturday. The BIG day when we have the Innovations in Technology happening, the Energy Expo and the finish of the Pushcarts and Primary HPV events. The Try-athlon teams take to the track for eight hours and presentations are held for Primary teams and the Try-athlon. Phew!
The weather has been … well, interesting! Today we’ve had sun, rain, cold, sun, wind and then a bit more rain and a bit more sun. But all of the students are loving it and having a great time.
… And a new lap record too!
In fact, the cooler weather has been ideal for fast times, with Eaglehawk Secondary College’s HPV Secondary entry ‘Care Factor’ smashing the RACV Track lap record by over five seconds with a 1 minute 35 second lap of the 1.34 kilometre track. That’s an average speed of 50.4 km/h!

The Energy Breakthrough is awesome. I’ve been to 1 now and I’m hooked. Your updates are great Jake. I uploaded a vid of some of the footage I shot of the Primary HPV’s to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnTRVjEwIDM . Rain and flat batteries stopped me from videoing and watching too much of the Secondary HPV. Good luck to all involved and looking forward to the Sunday update where I hope Eaglehawk Secondary star.
