I was in Wonthaggi for their event last weekend and was a bit surprised by a young guy. He said: “Hey Nigel, I just want to say thanks for Maryborough last year, it was really great.”
I have to admit, I was a little taken aback. It’s not like people don’t thank us for the work we do as volunteers, it was just a little unexpected. I asked what he was thankful for, “Oh, just everything – I had an awesome time and loved every minute of it. Thanks again.”
It’s great when we hear that the young guys and girls involved in the Energy Breakthrough enjoy themselves. For us, it’s just part of the ongoing testimony to the impact this program has had in making learning fun and hands-on.
